Achron is the first game to feature single-player and multiplayer free-form time travel. It is the world's first meta-time strategy game, a real-time strategy game where players and units can jump to and play at different times simultaneously and independently.
Achron is now available for pre-order for $29.95 (Press Release). Those who pre-order can download the current release and will receive further early playable demos, mod tools, and more .
"[Achron] boasts the most interesting feature in, well, probably any RTS, ever.

"...you can view this game design as the implementation of the sort of classic sci-fi time travel warfare that's been written about for a long time (with specific game design decisions to help make things workable and interesting). And it's like, hey, why *hasn't* someone done that yet?" - Jonathan Blow, creator of Braid

Achron is the fruit of many years of hard work by the founders of Hazardous Software and has been entirely self-funded. Not only do we want to share Achron with the world and let people watch its development first-hand, but we want to give people a chance to contribute as well.
As planned with our release on the 17th (on our calendar), we started posting some concept art on the forums to open up community contributions to Achron. We've produced further details on the program on our contributions page. There, we also list the particular roles we're currently looking for.
If you have some talent and contribute something that we use, at a minimum, we'll put your name in the credits and give you a couple copies of Achron to give to your friends. If you do enough quality work that we use, then we may (at our discretion) offer you monetary contracts or include you in the same profit sharing program that Hazardous Software's founders use.
The rest of the Achron development team and I have been very pleased so far by the response we've gotten from the Achron community, especially in terms of support and feedback. With multiplayer coming out next month, we have some exciting times ahead.
